About Tesscatiful

About Tesscatiful : The Being

Brit. Whovian. Child of the Internet. I read a lot. I also tend to write things. Sometimes the things I write are novel-shaped. Sometimes they are more blog-esque, and take the secondary form of a book review or a rant-y opinion piece. I have my fun.

I am currently working in childcare, looking to get back into Digital Marketing. I am also in the process of submitting my third fiction novel to agencies, hoping to live the dream of traditional publication. But in the meantime, I am greatly enjoying being part of the Wattpad community, sharing my stories and getting to know other fledgling writers like myself.

About Tesscatiful : The Blog

This blog began in September 2013 as a book review site. I soon realized there were far more things I wanted to talk about and began posting other things. In addition to book reviews, these days I also review Classic Doctor Who and post opinions pieces.

Please refer to my review policy before pitching review requests.

  4. Hi there,
I wonder if I may be so bold as to recommend for your review the new Austen-inspired book, Follies Past: a Prequel to Pride and Prejudice by Melanie Kerr. It has been getting exceptional reviews on Amazon (amazon.com/dp/B00GD76KJY) and you can read
the first chapter, the blurb and a bit about the author on the website: FolliesPast.com. There are also three enticing, film-style trailers that can be seen at that same website or on Youtube.
Essentially, the book is based on the story of Darcy, Wickham and Georgiana, as described in Darcy’s letter to Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice. It is intertwined with an original and sweet love
story of the author’s own invention and is written in the style and the language of Jane Austen’s own works.
Reading it really feels like discovering a long-lost Austen manuscript.
Please feel free to email me at folliespast@gmail.com if you would like any more information, or to let me know if you decide you might like to review it so that I can send you a copy, in your
choice of eBook or paperback or both.

  5. My latest novel, Valerie’s Retreat, is now available from Amazon on Kindle, and I would like to invite you (if you love romantic thrillers) to read and review this novel. Here is a blurb:

Valerie, a 40-ish Head Teller at a bank, has met Franco, 16 years younger and studying for a doctorate in archaeology. He is stunned yet eager to begin a relationship with this attractive “cougar”, and they become lovers. Their lives begin to unravel when Valerie’s female bisexual boss makes advances (and threats) toward Valerie and Franco is accused of the theft of an Incan artifact from a museum where he has been working part-time. Frustrated, under surveillance by the FBI, and seeing no way out of their dilemma, they decide to steal money from Valerie’s bank and flee the country. They go to Peru to start a new life, but they find there the same type of corruption and threats. How can they escape their nightmares and make their dreams come true?

If you are interested in reading and reviewing this novel, please email me at rinald47@hotmail.com for a free copy. Don’t forget to tell me what format you prefer (.mobi, .pdf, or .doc). I would also be very interested in an author interview and/or giveaway. If you are in a book club that is interested in discussing my book, I’d be happy to participate in the discussion remotely. For a sneak peek into Valerie’s Retreat, go to http://www.amazon.com/Valeries-Retreat-Joseph-Rinaldo-ebook/dp/B00GCWNOQM/ref=sr_1_1_bnp_1_kin?ie=UTF8&qid=1388948691&sr=8-1&keywords=valerie%27s+retreat, and click on “Click to LOOK INSIDE!”

    Hi Tess:
I have a book to offer for your review, or simply just for your enjoyment: Ruse, an erotic novella. It’s a fast read – 54 pages, similar to the Vain series by Deborah Bladon, but set in a university setting.

I’d be glad to send along the book, and the cover to do with what you like. 🙂
